" 300" is a 2006 grand action film directed by Zack Snyder, grounded on Frank Miller's graphic novel of the same name. The story is set in ancient Greece during the Battle of Thermopylae in 480 BC.
The film follows the Spartan King Leonidas I, who leads a small army of 300 Spartans against the massive Persian army led by King Xerxes. Leonidas and his men are determined to defend their motherland and uphold the honor of Sparta.
The Spartans display inconceivable frippery, superior combat chops, and strategic warfare tactics as they hold off surge after surge of Persian attacks. Despite being extensively outnumbered, they manage to induce heavy casualties on the Persians.

In a final act of heroism, they make a last stage against the Persians, eventually immolating their lives but leaving a lasting heritage of frippery and resistance.
The film ends with the Persian army marching onward, while the Spartans' immolation inspires the Greek megacity- countries to unite against the Persian irruption, setting the stage for the larger conflict between Greece and Persia.
